Pregnant Summer Walker may be anxiously awaiting the arrival of her newest bundle of joy, but the R&B diva is putting her fans on notice that she has her sights set on a music delivery beforehand.

Still feeling some kinda way about the Recording Academy snubbing her 2021 chart-topping album, ‘Still Over It,’ with its recently announced 2023 GRAMMY nominations (as we reported here), Summer saw the critically acclaimed set also overlooked at this year’s Soul Train Awards.
Speaking on the omissions, Walker wrote a message via her Instagram Story recently.
“Now that I know these award shows gone play me [regardless] ima go back to making the soul music I love, EP Coming soon,” she said as captured above.
At writing, no official release date is attached to the teased project.
And though Walker’s been busy all 2022 promoting singles from ‘Still’ and acting as support for other artists’ releases (i.e. Jacquees, DJ Snake, Ari Lennox, Ciara, etc.), the yet-titled EP will come as her first body of work since ‘Still’ topped the Billboard 200 in late 2021 with some of last year’s biggest first-week sales.
Your thoughts?
I really admire & applaud her mental fortitude. She’s heavy but still working hard. Most lazy white women cant even cook while pregnant lmaoo no shade
Shay shay Shayl Shayla Shayla Shayla byeeeeeee
She definitely had one of the best r&b albums last year..they really trying it
The snubs are baffling. Is her team submitting to the awards?
She’s so overrated mainstream don’t mess wit her and how many hits she had i can’t remember 5 strong singles from her this why no Grammy nominations
That’s b******* summer is doing way better than 98% of her contemporaries. There are a lot of artists who aren’t “mainstream” who get nominations.
