Mary J. Blige is here to serve yet another reminder that there is nothing she can’t do.
The award-winning singer-actress, who just wrapped up the final leg of the critically acclaimed ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’ tour in support of her multiple GRAMMY-nominated ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’ album, is no stranger to topping music charts over her illustrious career.
Now, she’s looking to get a similar response on the New York Times’ Best Sellers list with her first children’s book, ‘Mary Can!’
The Hip-Hop Soul Queen hopped to press recently to announce the spring 2023 arrival of her debut children’s book, ‘Mary Can!’ – an inspirational story for young readers to learn how to navigate self-doubt and external barriers to success.
“It’s such a personal story for me, based off my own experiences as a child and even as an adult. I was so used to people telling me ‘no’ and that I ‘couldn’t’ which only motivated me more,” said Blige about the motivational book. “My hope with this book is that it instills in kids from an early age that they can do anything they aspire to do. There are no limits to what they can accomplish!”
Featuring illustrations by award-winning illustrator Ashleigh Corrin, ‘Mary Can’ is due to hit shelves March 28. Click here to pre-order.
