In 2019, Taylor Swift surpassed King of Pop Michael Jackson‘s historic American Music Awards record (26 wins) to become the award show’s most-decorated act ever.
Since then, she’s added even more prism-shaped trophies to her collection – distancing herself from competitors even further.
See how many she nabbed Sunday night (November 20) at the 2022 edition of the annual ceremony.
Entering this year’s show tied with Beyonce for most-nominated female acts (6 each), Swift – unlike her ‘Renaissance‘-singing competitor – won in every category she was nominated in including Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Female, and Favorite Country Female.
The triumphs bring her all-time total to 40 victories, not only extending her reign as the show’s most-decorated winner but also making her the first act in its 50-year history to own as many of its trophies.
At time reporting, MJ remains the second most-decorated artist in the AMA record book. Among women, late Pop icon Whitney Houston is second with 22 career wins.
