Affectionately christened ‘Cuff Hit’ by fans of the megastar, the bass-heavy bop has re-cements said status by achieving a new peak on the Billboard Hot 100.

For, this week the track – which was produced by Queen Bey, Nova Wav, Raphael Saadiq, The-Dream, and Morten Ristorp – climbed 28 spots to #10 – its highest placement to date on the coveted count.

Its ascend was fuelled by the following stats in the latest tracking frame:

  • 8.3 million streams
  • 55.8 million all-format radio audience
  • 3000 digital downloads

By nabbing her latest top 10, Beyonce joins an exclusive club of Black female performers to have scored over 20 top 10 hits on the Hot 100 over their respective careers. Peep the current tally:

Rihanna (32)
Mariah Carey (28)
Janet Jackson (27)
Whitney Houston (23)
Beyonce (21)
Nicki Minaj (21)

‘Cuff It’, which has peaked within the top 10 in multiple markets across the globe, has experienced quite the chart trajectory on home soil.

Premiering at #13 last August alongside the arrival of its parent LP, ‘Cuff It’ went on to go all sorts of viral on TikTok and maintained a pronounced omnipresence on the Hot 100 over several months as a result.

Following on the heels of ‘Renaissance’s chart-topping lead release ‘Break My Soul,’ ‘Cuff It’s win this week sees Beyonce score (at least) two top 10s from the same album for the first time since 2008’s ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’ project. That LP yielded: ‘Single Ladies’ (#1), ‘If I Were A Boy’ (#3), ‘Halo’ (#5), and ‘Sweet Dreams’ (#10).

In the years that followed, Queen Bey ascended to higher heights by innovating as a visual artist and prioritized producing game-changing, critically-acclaimed bodies of work such as 2013’s ‘Beyonce’ and its follow-up ‘Lemonade.’ Both of which delivered unquestionable Hot 100 hits (including top 10s), but boasted a clear focus on the overall package.

With ‘Break My Soul’ and now ‘Cuff It,’ music’s reigning royal reminds that she’s still a formidable force on BOTH the single and album charts.

Iconic!
