The 34-year-old, who has been vocal about body positivity before and after her arrival on the mainstream scene, took to Instagram to vent.
Sporting a revealing bikini, she said:
“The discourse around bodies is tired. It’s TIRED. I’ve seen people go:
‘Why did you lose weight?’
‘Why’d you get a BBL?’
‘I liked your body before’
‘Oh my God, you’re so big [vomit]…but for your health’
‘You’re so little. You need to get a** or t*tties or something’
‘Oh my gosh, why did she get all that work done? It’s just too much work’
Are we ok? Do you see the delusion? Do we realise that artists are not here to fit into YOUR beauty standards? Artists are here to make…art. And this body is art and I’m gonna do whatever I want with this body.
I wish that comments cost y’all money, so we can see how much time we are f*cking wasting on the wrong thing. Can we leave that sh*t back there, please??

I thought she understood with the success of her last lead single and album that she doesn’t need to keep regenerating conflict around body image. She seems to be under the impression that people won’t pay attention to her unless this topic is a regular thing.
If you don’t want people to make your body the focus of everything, stop doing it yourself. Let your music and artistry be the focus.

Our constitution prohibits silencing we the people. She needs to accept if she post near naked photos of herself not all will embrace her and some will even have not so nice things to say about her. The problem I have with Lizzo isn’t the fact that she is overweight. I have an issue with her constantly advertising her fat rolls to the public and pretending there is nothing wrong with being her size. There is definitely something wrong with it. She has made being obese the essence of her existence and it’s extremely toxic. If she could snap her fingers and be thin immediately, she would do it. She is not fooling anybody by pretending that she is happy with herself and her body.
I’ll believe Lizzo when she start dating chubby obese men. People who constantly say a group is beautiful yet eat, sleep and f*ck the opposite…are usually hustling the public emotionally or financially.
You never seen Kelly Price in music videos wearing thongs and calling her body ART. She sang her songs and kept it moving regardless of how ppl may have felt.
