The songbird’s release was hatched the lead offering from her forthcoming album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ (due via new label Columbia Records on March 10).
British listeners have embraced the catchy cut with open arms in earnest, for they’ve helped ‘Flowers’ bloom in at #1 on the Official UK Singles Chart.
It managed the feat by selling a seismic 92,000 chart units – fuelled largely by 9.9 million in its first week.
Serving as Cyrus’ biggest opening week on streaming to date, ‘Flowers’ becomes her third UK chart-topper. It joins previous #1s: ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Wrecking Ball’ – both of which reached the top in 2013.
