Chloe Bailey is wasting no time kickstarting her official debut era.
Despite having earn critical acclaim for her first slew of solo singles ‘Feeling Good,’ ‘Have Mercy,’ ‘Treat Me,’ and more, the GRAMMY-nominated songstress treated fans to news those tunes would ultimately serve as appetizers for her inaugural solo album – ‘In Pieces‘ (due on digital shelves in March).
The first taste of the set’s offerings comes courtesy of the hard-hitting, ‘f*ck my ex’ anthem ‘Pray It Away.’
“Maybe I should go and take it to church (Uh) / And wash it away ’cause I want that n*gga to hurt / But I’ma just pray it away before I give him what he deserves first,” she croons on the ThankGod4Cody-produced track.

I swear these short songs are so aggravating. The two songs I wanted to hear today were from Chloe and Rita and both it turns out aren’t much longer than an interlude. Can’t even really get into it. I’m tired of producers doing this. Go back to the standard structure!!
Why blame the producers? They could literally copy and paste the stems to extend the instrumental if the artists/writers have more to say. I blame the streaming era.
I’ve been saying this myself. Songs are now intentionally shorter in length – to gain more streams. Music isn’t even music anymore.

Agreed and I am sure they imposed this on her. I don’t think she has the level of control people think she does. I would like to see what she does when she breaks away from them and does her own thing. It’s a no for now.
