Taking to press, Billboard announced that ‘Face’ scored 164,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales comprise 124,000 units, streaming units equated to 13,500, and track equivalent units were 26,500 units.
As a result of the large sales, the album landed at #2 on this week’s Billboard 200 chart. Because of the placement, ‘Face’ is now the highest-charting release in U.S. history on the Billboard 200 by a South Korean solo musician.
Prior to this week, the record belonged to another BTS member, RM, whose solo effort ‘Indigo’ reached #3 a few months ago.
That was not the only record scored by ‘Face.’ Billboard also reports that the album lands the biggest starting point for a musician’s first placement on the Billboard 200 since Olivia Rodrigo released ‘Sour.’
The news comes as Jimin’s song ‘Like Crazy’ is set to make a lofty debut on the Billboard Hot 100.
