Adele is reportedly lining up a film that fuses performances from her widely praised ‘Weekends with Adele’ Las Vegas residency and documentary-style insights into her life and creative process.

Word is that superstar will be saying ‘Hello’ to a seismic payday for the project too.

Buzz about a taped special has been swirling since last year and Adele herself confirmed as much back in March.

Now, The Mirror reports that the London-born megastar is on track to make more with the filmed special than the $60 million accrued from the residency itself (both the shows already performed and upcoming).

 While the exact sum was not disclosed, it quickly becomes clear how the British belter is managing to more than double her fortunes with the same project.

2021’s ‘One Night With Adele’ – which featured a sit-down with Oprah Winfrey and the launch performances from the songbird’s blockbuster album ’30’ –  reportedly generated a whopping $100 million by way of savvy deals truck with broadcasters worldwide.

Fast forward to the present and a source claims Adele, her management, and Sony Music secretly negotiated global deals for the project that will bring in mega-millions. They were reportedly inundated with offers from networks and streamers for the rights to air the special.

An insider shared:

“Adele’s Vegas shows are not just a massive success critically and with fans, but also financially. And the film special is also going to bring in millions more – a sum greater than the show payments. She and her team have a raft of deals lined up to sell worldwide for TV networks and streamers. Her appeal and value for this kind of prime time show commands millions from each country.”

This would function as quite the epic turnaround for the singer given the drama that drenched her initial Vegas plans at the top of 2022.
