Choo choo! ‘Loco-Motion’ diva Kylie Minogue is riding her latest hit, ‘Padam Padam,’ right to the top of the charts!

En route to being her biggest hit in 20 years on the UK side of the pond, the Lostboy-penned bop seems poised to follow a similar trajectory Stateside if updated Billboard tallies are anything to judge by.

Released alongside a red hot, Sophie Muller-directed music video on May 19, the tune – which serves as the lead single from Kylie’s 16th studio album ‘Tension‘ – has amassed millions of streams on major music streaming outlets thanks in part to its warm reception on Tik Tok and inclusion on a wave of social media memes.

That potent combo, paired with handsome digital sales, helped Minogue take over this week’s Dance/Electronic Music sales chart.

And while she is a considered one of the genre’s most legendary divas, fans will be surprised to learn ‘Padam’ topping this tally comes as a career-first for Minogue as she’s never topped any of Billboard’s Electronic Music charts before now. The hitlist is not to be confused with Billboard’s Dance, Dance Club, or Dance Mix charts.

Although the song’s handsome sales performance was enough to land it atop this genre’s chart, ‘Padam’ has yet to crack the Hot 100.  If it does, it will become the first Kylie cut since 2003’s ‘Slow‘ to do so.
