Harry Styles is wrapping his tour and saying hello to elite company thanks to how much the trek brought in.
More details below…
Taking to press, Billboard revealed that ‘Love On Tour’ brought in a total of $617.3 million from a total of 169 shows that spanned two years.
The publication goes on to note that the trek was so impressive that it “eclipsing the career earnings of One Direction.”
What’s more, the tour now ranks among the highest-grossing tours of all-time at #5. Only Coldplay, U2, Ed Sheeran, and Elton John have tours that have grossed more.
John currently holds the record for highest-grossing tour with $939 million.
Your thoughts?
These figures aren’t relevant if not detailled.
Some tours are shorter, but have a bigger average earning per show.
For example, Beyoncé’s current tour doesn’t have a massive lineup. In Europe, she didn’t even have dates in Italy, Portugal or any Eastern countries.
But her average gross per show is huge.
Beyonce could NEVER!!!!!
Bruh touring for two years. I wouldn’t call that a tour. A tour is part of an era, that’s a least a year from the release of your album. A two year tour shouldn’t even count. Elton tour like 4 or 5 years that shouldn’t count either. Like bfrfr
It should count as for a tour to run for so long, there has to be demand. So the tickets still sold. It’s the same as if an album continues to sell and chart after a year. Do you cut it off or let it continue to sell and chart then disinclude any sales outside of the first year?
Well what you said, I agree with, like a legacy act like Elton.
But Harry, his album came out a year ago more or less. While technically he was touring the album that came out before when he started that tour. Ok the demand is here, the sales are here, but it’s like combining 2 tours into 1.
