Anitta has unveiled the video for ‘Used To Be.’
Serving as the concluding chapter of the Brazilian bombshell’s three-song concept project ‘Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story,’ the story-driven visual is expectedly drenched in drama. Favela style!
Speaking on the clip, Anitta said:
“In this project I dive into carioca funk. The rhythm that raised me and is part of the culture from where I was born.
In the visuals, there is a lot of what I’ve experienced in the favelas.
The videos work individually, but they are also a trilogy! You’ll need to watch all three to understand the outcome! It looks beautiful, fun, colorful, and amusing!”
The video for ‘Used To Be,’ which sees the star attempt to make it down the aisle in one peace, arrives alongside the announcement that Anitta will be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards 2023 on September 12.
