Just weeks after unleashing a 25th anniversary edition of her debut single, ‘It’s All About Me,’ R&B singer Mya lifts yet another toast to her own illustrious career with the release of a revamped edition of her third studio album, ‘Moodring.’
Famous for its singles ‘My Love Is Like…Wo’ and ‘Fallen,’ the now Gold-certified ‘Moodring’ entered the Billboard 200 at #3 at the height of its popularity in 2003 (and remains her highest-charting effort on the tally to date).
For its deluxe iteration, the GRAMMY winner packed on 9 additional tracks to the 16-track effort, including international bonus cuts and multiple remixes of the era’s singles.
“As we mark the 20th anniversary of Moodring, I can’t help but look back with pride. This album was a turning point, marking my first venture as an executive producer and setting me on a path towards greater autonomy in my career,” said the 42-year-old in an official statement. “Moodring is more than just music; it’s a testament to my growth as an artist and holds a special place in my heart.”

Good for her. I assume she can do this because she owns her recording masters. Ive heard in interviews that ‘Why you gotta look so good’ is one of her favorites. Reminds my of dr. Dre track. It should have been a single in my opinion.
The guy who did lady marmalade did the track his name is Rottweiler
Those remixes don’t add anything to the celebration. Aside from that, this was a really fun era and the album is Mya’s best even though it didn’t sell like the others.
No wonder I never got past fallen, the rest of the album sucks.
Thank God she came out with KISS, SMOOVE JONES and TKO…
I do like fallen remix.
I’d love to see her work with MNEK, Kamille and whoever do Dua Lipa
Love Mya and this album. Her best work. She needs to do another album like this: rnb, dance, pop, ballads.
“No Sleep” and “Taste This” should have been singles.
She’s coming with new music Aug.18th. Can’t wait.
