In long-awaited news that’s sent #Swifties into a frenzy, Taylor Swift has confirmed her next album re-record will be the highly anticipated revamp of 2014’s chart-topping ‘1989.’
Details inside.
Taking to social media early Thursday morning (August 10), Swift took a break from her wildly popular ‘Eras Tour‘ to confirm the rumor that ‘1989’ will be the next project of hers to get the re-record treatment. At the time of this report she has not announced which new or previously unreleased tracks will make the set’s tracklist.
Due on shelves October 27 (exactly 9 years after its forerunner), ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ will come just three months after the diva dominated Billboard charts to historic measure with the re-upped version of 2010’s ‘Speak Now.’
The drop of the 2023 edition of ‘1989’ will put Tay past the halfway mark of her discography-wide re-recording project that has seen her make history in a groundbreaking stride toward musical ownership after a very public fallout with music mogul Scooter Braun in 2019.
