Baby Tate may be a proud Atlanta peach, but that hasn’t stopped the rising rapstress from hopping on the wave of Jersey club beats.
Her latest single, aptly titled ‘Jersey,’ comes as a rap-sung sonic ode to the Garden State’s signature sound while conceptually the cut is lined with lambasting lyrics about losing love.
“Damn, we coulda really had a ball,” she says over a Sam Homaee-produced instrumental. “Painted me a picture, but I saw / You only wanted the drawers.”
Travel inside to catch Tate “in the middle of New Jersey cryin’ in the club” in the tune’s official visualizer.
Did Normani drop yet? Manis here!
Why does every single black girl in music go blonde? It’s like they require it or something. It’s so played.
