Usher Reportedly Set to Launch Huge World Tour Following Super Bowl Halftime 2024 Performance

Published: Tuesday 26th Sep 2023 by Sam

Usher is set to blaze the grandest stage of them all when he headlines the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show 2024.

And while the superstar has promised to deliver a spectacle to remember, he’s simultaneously plotting his moves beyond that.

Because, per a new report, Usher is heading out on the road.

Per insiders, the next few months will see routing and dates locked in – with a formal tour announcement likely to occur the second Mr. Raymond’s Halftime Show climaxes. No pun intended.

The R&B icon has long proven to be an established force on the live circuit. Especially with his two Las Vegas residencies – which it’s noted are poised to deliver a total gross north of $100 million. A figure that commercially bests any of Usher’s tours to date; for the most part, with fewer dates too.

2010-2011’s ‘OMG Tour’ amassed $76 million from 95 shows. ‘The UR Experience Tour’ followed in 2014 through to 2015 with 45 dates.

And though Vegas stands tall as the most savvy and lucrative play of Usher’s latter career (see: earning more for less), it figures that a world tour would be on the cards given the enormity of the Super Bowl platform.

Annually watched by over 100 million in the US alone, the Super Bowl Halftime Show has a worldwide footprint that makes it one of – if not not “the” – most potent launchpads for a global trek.

We love a well-oiled roll-out here at That Grape Juice and Usher is not disappointing. As reported the Diamond-seller has lined up his long-awaited ninth studio album, ‘Coming Home,’ for release on Super Bowl Sunday (February 11, 2024).

Should the singer proceed with announcing a tour too, he will be the first artist in seven years to use the Halftime Show to launch a live trek. The last was Lady Gaga in 2017.

The Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show is set to take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada on February 11, 2024 and will air live on CBS.
