Speculation has been rife for months and, for years, many have called for the R&B icon to topline the grandest stage of them all.
What’s more, Usher himself has been vocal about his desire to headline the Apple Music-sponsored spectacle.
Now, finally, that wish has come to fruition.
The news was trumpeted by way of a video featuring Kim Kardashian:

Beyond his three-decade-long career and immense catalog of hits, Usher has been shining in earnest of late at his sold-out ‘My Way’ Las Vegas residency.
Aptly, the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show is set to take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada on February 11, 2024 and will air live on CBS.
Usher follows 2023 headliner Rihanna.

Usher is a No Brainer to FINALLY headline the super bowl. We need another single male headliner that’s actually a REAL performer unlike The weekend.
I’m just curious about how he will pull off THE SETLIST considering YEAH, CAUGHT UP, BURN, LOVE IN THIS CLUB & MOVING MOUNTAINS are just a FEW superbowl worthy songs as far as the energy and mood of the song that I know of in his catalog.
He has many hits but not many songs that will get the crowd hype imo 🤔 Since the world has moved past R&B.
I really hope he does NOT perform OMG or any other weak Raymond v. Raymond tracks. That album did NOT age well.
