Taylor Swift is breaking records, however, this one comes on the anniversary of her landmark ‘Midnights’ album.
More details below…
On this week’s Billboard 200 chart, ‘Midnights’ remains in the top 10, where it sits at #9 this week, down two spots from the previous week.
However, the album spends its 52nd week on the chart, all of which have been in the top 10. As a result, it becomes the first album released this decade to spend its entire first year in the top 10. There have been albums such as Morgan Wallen’s ‘Dangerous’ and Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Sour’ that have spent more time in the top 10, but their runs were not consecutive like ‘Midnights.’
Additionally, Swift now has 3 albums from 3 different decades that have spent a year in the top 10. ‘Midnights’ 2020s 52 weeks, ‘1989’ 2010s 60 weeks, and ‘Fearless’ 2000s 58 weeks.
