Usher‘s latest hit, ‘Good Good,’ shows no sign of slowing on delivering good news.
Released August 4, the Mel & Mus-produced track serves as the first single from the R&B veteran’s forthcoming ninth studio album ‘Coming Home‘ and comes as his biggest hit in years.
Having previously made headlines for being his first top 40 hit as a song leader since 2016’s Young Thug-assisted ‘No Limit,’ ‘Good’ is proving there may be no limit to its rate of ascension on the Hot 100 as it entered the next rung in the chart’s ranking this week.
Details inside.
‘Good’ is listed at #1 on the week’s R&B single sales tally for the second week, a positioning that helped it crack the top 30 of the refreshed Hot 100.
Printed at #28 on the latter column, here are the numbers that powered the placement.
- Streaming ≈ 5.5 million U.S.-based streams
- Digital Downloads ≈ 2,000 sold
- Radio Airplay ≈ 38.5 million audience impressions
With the potent combo above, the Summer Walker and 21 Savage-assisted track marks the highest peak Ush has captured as a song leader since 2014’s Juicy J-enlisted ‘I Don’t Mind‘ peaked at #11.
While the win comes as overdue uncharted territory for the GRAMMY winner, the same can’t be said for Walker and Savage.
Walker enjoyed a #13-peaking hit in 2022 with the Cardi B and SZA-assisted ‘No Love‘ as well as ‘Purple Hearts‘ with Kendrick Lamar (#22 peak), Savage has had multiple top 30 hits over the last year including ‘Topia Twins‘ with Travis Scott (#17 peak), ‘Turks & Caicos‘ with Rod Wave (#24 peak), and the Drake duets ‘Broke Boys‘ (#12 peak), ‘P-ssy & Millions‘ (#6 peak), ‘Rich Flex‘ (#2 peak), ‘Jimmy Cooks‘ (#1 peak), and many others.
‘Good’ will hopefully be one of many fan favorites on the setlist for the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show as Ush has been pegged to be its headliner.

Here comes all of the delusional Usher haters…
It’s his best song in more than a decade. Deserves success and proves he needs to continue working with LA Reid at the helm of his career. Same with Ciara…I personally do not believe she will ever return to the charts unless she starts working with LA Reid again. He knows how to make both of them successful. But I guess Ciara enjoys living in Floplandia with the other flops. 🙄🙄 Gald usher finally left Floplandia
You’re right. So should Mariah.
When an artist like Usher who was in the game 20+ years before his career slowed down you can’t say he flopped. After already selling over 100 million ACTUAL. records, 9 Billboard Hot 100 songs, 13 Billboard Hip hop and R&B songs. How can he be a. flop???? Lol mostly all hugely successful artist careers slowed down after 20+ years. Even Michael Jackson and Prince. But Usher is literally 30 years into his career with a hit cross-over song and upcoming album that should be successful. While his early 90’s, late 90’s, 00’s and even late 00’s peers are no where near as relevant and successful as he still is.
It’s a great song. I’m loving this usher renaissance. He deserves it. He’s soooo talented
Free Young Thug.
Sorry but Boyfriend is way more catchy and Good Good is just too ghetto for my Diva expensive taste.
Love the song but let’s not pretend like Usher hasn’t been dropping great music over the years… Don’t Waste My Time w/Ella Mai, Bad Habits were awesome singles.
this song sucks. thanks to summer walker…
