As if 2023 hasn’t already sent Beyonce‘s crowded trophy case into overflow thanks to being the most-decorated singer in the history of the GRAMMYs, MTV VMAs, BET Awards, Soul Train Awards, and NAACP Image Awards respectively, now – courtesy of historic wins at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) – the ‘Renaissance‘ diva is well on the way to claiming the same at that award show as well.
Before the BBMAs aired on Sunday (November 19), late Pop icon Whitney Houston reigned as the show’s most-decorated woman of color with a whopping 16 career wins.
Fellow powerhouse vocalist Mariah Carey, who had already collecdted 15 BBMA trophies over her storied career, collected her 16th when her perennial holiday hit, ‘All I Want for Christmas,’ was honored with a special Chart Achievement Award.
By the ceremony’s closing, Bey – who was nominated 7 times across R&B, Dance/Electronic, and other categories – ended the night with 3 wins (Top Dance/Electronic Album, Top R&B Touring Artist, and Top Dance/Electronic Artist).
With the three additional trophies, Bey has entered a three-way tie for most triumphs among women of color in the 33-year history of the award show. Among all women, Taylor Swift leads with 39 victories over her career.

Your thoughts?
And didn’t even have to make good music to do it!
Nonsense. Beyonce’s music has been of increasingly great quality ever since she left her pop era behind and started focusing on artistry instead of sales from 4 onwards.
Her critical acclaim has been consistent for over a decade, so i dot know what music youre referring to. But your opinion is contrary to critical opinion. But each to their own.
Cowriah who???
