BBMAs: Drake & Taylor Swift Tie for Most Overall Wins in Award Show’s History

Already listed in Billboard Music Awards’ history books for being the most-decorated female act of all time, Taylor Swift entered the 2023 ceremony with a chance to extend that record thanks to a whopping 20 nominations.

By the night’s end, she not only collected 10 new trophies (including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, and Top Hot 100 Songwriter), but she also came just one step closer to becoming the show’s overall most-awarded.

Details inside.

Country superstar Morgan Wallen may have been the biggest victor by taking home 11 trophies on Sunday night (November 19), but the biggest story to come from the 2023 BBMAs was undoubtedly Swift who upped her career win count to 39.

Extending her record as the show’s most-decorated female, she also wound up tying the all-time record holder Drake in the ceremony’s history books for most Top Artist wins (3 each) and most overall victories (39 each).

The Canadian hitmaker (who was the night’s most-nominated rapper), entered with 14 nods for work found aboard his 2022 solo project – ‘Honestly, Nevermind‘ – as well as the duet album, ‘Her Loss‘ (with 21 Savage).

Taking home 5 trophies including Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Male Artist, Top Rap Touring Artist, and more, Drizzy now has 39 career wins.
