No stranger to controversy, Chrisean Rock has rocked headlines for the last day after insiders took to social media to claim she assaulted Tamar Braxton‘s longtime friend/backup singer James Wright Chanel over the weekend.

Our friends at TNT first broke the story that Braxton – currently rocking stages across the nation on the 10th anniversary tour of her 2013 breakout album ‘Love & War‘ – made a pit stop at L.A.’s famed venue The Novo on Friday (November 10).
While there, Tamar was reportedly set to bring Rock out as a guest performer but the latter was nowhere to be found when it was her time to perform.
Apparently upset at the missed cue, the reality star/rapper allegedly spoke with Chanel while looking for Tamar to get answers. Insiders say the conversation got heated and resulted in her repeatedly punching the background singer (most famous for popularizing Patti LaBelle‘s Wal-mart pies with his viral video years ago).
Word has it, the altercation led to his hospitalization – leaving him unable to perform. TNT reports Rock fled the scene before police arrived to investigate.

While Wright, Braxton, nor Rock have taken to social media to confirm the story, LeTroy Davis – Tamar’s friend – seemed to corroborate insider reports by not only verifying it actually happened but also asserting his desire to see Chrisean jailed for the assault.
The alleged assailant, on the other hand, seemed unbothered.
“I don’t get disrespectful until you disrespect me,” she tweeted (but later deleted) early Saturday morning (November 11).
This is what this generation has come to. This lady needs to go away.
Tamar is old enough to be Rocks mother. She had no business inviting her into a professional environment like that. If she was that pressed to break bread with her then they coulda met for lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Rock is only good for blogs and ratchet reality television. Everything else is outside of her limited element. Tamar’s lack of discernment caused all of this chaos. She should be ashamed.
When trying to get clout goes wrong. Tamar is the irrelevant one in this situation… I stand with Rock!!!
