More good good news for Usher and his latest single, ‘Good Good.’
As if watching the single become his highest-charting hit on the Hot 100 in nearly a decade wasn’t enough to brag about, the 21 Savage and Summer Walker-assisted smash is faring even better on R&B charts.
Details inside.
The latest edition of Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart sees Usher printed at #1 after 13 weeks of tenancy.
With the ascent of the Mel & Mus-produced track, which serves as the freshest taste of new music found the R&B icon’s ninth studio album ‘Coming Home‘ (due February 11, 2024), ‘Good’ is uniquely listed in chart history books for becoming the first male-led song this year to capture Billboard’s “triple crown of R&B Radio” – Adult R&B Airplay, Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay.
The only other artist to accomplish this feat in 2023 was Tems with her breakout hit, ‘Free Mind.’
His 8th topper on Adult R&B Airplay, ‘Good’ puts Ush in a five-way tie with with Tank, Bruno Mars, Maxwell, and Kem for “second-most #1 hits of all time.” Among men, only R&B legend Charlie Wilson holds the record with 9 while Alicia Keys is the overall champ with 14.
