“There’s Space for Us All”: Blake Lively Praises Beyonce & Taylor Swift for “Aligning” Despite Being “Pit Against One Another”

Published: Saturday 2nd Dec 2023 by Rashad

Fans and celebrities alike are showering praise on Beyonce for the jaw-dropping cinematic experience that is her ‘Renaissance’ tour film.

Before it hit global theaters on Friday (December 1), the music megastar hosted multiple invite-only premieres including in Los Angeles and London.  The latter appearance saw her link with fellow Pop diva Taylor Swift, sending both of their fan bases (the #Beyhive and #Swifties respectively) into a frenzy.

What’s more, the show of unity helped hush critics who have pit the performers against each other because they are the leading ladies of their generation.

The sentiment was one elaborated on by award-winning actress Blake Lively who took to Instagram on Saturday (December 2) to praise Tay and Bey for their public displays of support for each other.

“When I grew up, women were always pit against one another. It took me until adulthood to see that the instinct for women to lift each other up to their highest potential is the norm, not the exception. Most of my best friends are women who would’ve been packaged to me as threats or competition,” Blake told her 43 million followers on the platform. “It’s our job to show younger generations the power in aligning rather than dividing.”

She wrapped up the adulation with a nod to the chart-topping superstars directly.

“All this to say, @beyonce and @taylorswift neither of you have to be threatened by my pop stardom,” Lively relayed. “There’s space for us all.”

The statement came just hours after reports surfaced ‘Renaissance’ is well on its way to breaking box office records. Click here to read more about that.
