Davido unquestionably reigns as one of the leading forces and faces of Afrobeats. Yet, with his blazing London show at the iconic O2 Arena this week, the superstar proved that he’s willing, wanting, and able to up the ante and elevate to epic effect.

Head below for That Grape Juice‘s exclusive review…

With a hit list as lengthy as Davido’s, the tallest task the Nigerian supernova had before him was incorporating his colossal catalog into one show.

And he rose to the occasion – and also rose to the rafters. More on that momentarily.

From the second he appeared to rapturous applause, the performer deployed a skilled command of the stage and had the sold-out crowd captivated.

Delivering a balanced blend of the known and the new, the star shone with classics such as ‘Gobe,’ ‘Aye,’ and the dynamite ‘Dami Duro.’

Guests were plentiful too, with the likes of Mayorkun, Kizz Daniel, and the legendary Angelique Kidjo blessing the seismic show with their presence.

The notion of the new was notable across both the spectacle and the sonics of the extravaganza.

For, revelers were treated to the likes of Chris Brown collaboration ‘Sensational,’ as well as ‘LCND, ‘In The Garden’, and more jams from Davido’s GRAMMY-nominated LP ‘Timeless.’

Limits were few and far between because the rulebook was delightfully tossed out of the proverbial window in favor of an immersive experience that saw the stageblazer perform airborne and amidst the audience.

And while we would have loved to see and hear ‘Assurance,’ Davido gave more than enough assurance that he remains at the top of his game.
