Lil Nas X on Lady Gaga & Madonna Comparisons: “I Don’t Give a F*ck What They Did”

Published: Saturday 13th Jan 2024 by Sam

Lil Nas X has spent much of the week promoting his newly released single ‘J Christ.’

And while much of his time has been apportioned to teasing the track and its controversial video (in which he recreates many biblical scenes as Jesus, Moses, and more), the 23-year-old has also poured time into clapping back at his critics.

Including those who have been comparing him to the likes of Lady Gaga and Madonna.

Full story below…

Addressing a Twitter/X user who played down his latest offering in comparison to more “class”-driven use of religious imagery, Nas didn’t hold back.

He wrote:

“the problem with a lot of yall gays is yall think im trying to be like gaga or madonna when in reality with all due respect idgaf what they did and im doing what i want with my career.”

Yikes.

That song is flopping so he’s gonna be on twitter all day running his mouth. People are over him and his shock value aesthetic.

Lmao the desperation! Maybe if he had some talent then over the top antics wouldn’t be necessary. We the people have moved on from Lil F** X‼️

Yeah, this will not end well.

He’s Black so this will be twisted.

Also, he is doing way too much talking and should let the music speak for itself.

He should invest in other income sources. The shock value is old. If he keeps this up, he will not remain signed….

I think nobody gives a f#$% what Lil Nas does with his career and trust, nobody in their right mind would ever consider whatever he does to ever hope to approach the esteemed work of either Madonna or Lady Gaga. You have to actually have talent and goals for that to happen.

Out of all of them the one who should be standing against the shame and persecution of Christianity is him. He’s being ridiculed and shamed by conservatives since he came out. He doesn’t need it from the LGBTQ+ for standing up to it by creating his art through his interpretation of the narrative. The prior all ICONs and mainly a voice for us LGBTQ+, I applaud them with gratitude, but he’s coming from the inside. Let him free
