The Weeknd continues to shine with ‘Blinding Lights.’

For, the seismic smash hit has bulldozed another major record.

The streamer has announced that the 2019 single – which resides on the singer’s ‘After Hours’ album – has broken its own record and the Spotify record of most streams for a song in the platform’s history after blasting past:

4 Billion Streams

Last February, The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) became the first artist in Spotify history to reach 100 million monthly listeners.

And, despite not presently being in an album cycle at present, the superstar reigns as the #1 artist on Spotify with 113 million monthly listeners.

Speaking on the feat, The Weeknd said:

“I’ll never stop being humbled by anything I create making its way to millions of people let alone billions! I’m so thankful this song makes people feel a way that they keep going back to listen.”
