Digital music pirates have awaken the beast in ‘Snooze‘ hitmaker SZA and she’s had enough!
Although no official release date has been announced for ‘Lana‘ (the deluxe edition of her blockbuster sophomore album ‘SOS‘), SZA has been trumpeting the project’s impending release for months.
And while some music lovers are patiently awaiting the R&B magic that’s set to line the expanded set, others have taken matters into their own hands with some even leaking what’s believed to be tastes of the new tunes set to line the forthcoming effort.
Fed up with the unauthorized releases, the frustrated GRAMMY winner took to social media on Saturday (January 6) to sound off.
“LEAKING MY MUSIC IS STEALING . THIS IS MY JOB . THIS IS MY LIFE AND MY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY,” she wrote to her 8.2 million followers on Twitter. “YOU ARE A F-CKING THIEF AND I PROMISE TO PUT MAXIMUM ENERGY INTO HOLDING EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW . I AM TIRED .”
At the time of the post SZA did not indicate if the message was intended for a particular party.
