Even before the East were crowned victors at the 2024 All-Star game, GRAMMY-winning superstars Babyface and Jennifer Hudson had already landed the night’s most headline-grabbing slam dunks.

As previously announced, Indianapolis native Babyface (born Kenneth Edmonds) was on hand to perform the U.S. national anthem ahead of Hudson serving up a championship-sized medley of her greatest hits as headliner of the halftime show.

Look inside to see how both fared.

Was anyone checking for this? I didn’t even know it was happening.

Who’s bright idea was it to get JHuds screaming ass to perform halftime lol

I agree it was awful. She just screams with no ranges like a Whitney . She was not a good pick for the event . Babyface did not do the anthem any justice either.

This performance and song choice had no flavor and depressing as the cold weather in Indiana. Smh.

Sorry she’s not the person for ANY halftime performance. Who truly knows her music? It’s not entertaining at all!

I remember this song well and I know she chose it for the message, but there’s a lot going on in this performance and it’s hard to listen to. Maybe a “Pocketbook”/”Walk it Out” medley would’ve been more fun without the choir and marching band.

Lmao this is RANDOM. Fantasia would been a better fit. Shes a performer.
