A toast to the indelible marks made by some of music history’s biggest names came today via the unveiling of the latest class or Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees.
Saturday morning (February 10), the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the 15 nominees for its class of 2024 – two-thirds of those legendary names are up for induction for the first time.
As Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, Foreigner, Kool & the Gang, Oasis, Peter Frampton, Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, and Sinead O’Connor fans will rejoice at seeing their fave’s inaugural listing, nominees like Mary J. Blige, Eric B., Rakim, Jane’s Addiction, Dave Matthews Band, and A Tribe Called Quest have enjoyed mention in the past despite not being inducted.
The official entrants will be announced in May with a televised ceremony to follow in the Fall.
