During the announcement of the title of her ‘Cowboy Carter’ album, Beyonce recalled an experience she had years ago, where she did not feel welcome.
“This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive,” she said in her announcement.
Members of the BeyHive speculated that this section of her announcement was about the time that Beyonce performed at the CMA Awards with The Chicks to sing her song ‘Daddy Lessons.’
While Beyonce has not confirmed this, the Hive was quick to react and shared their thoughts on social media.

Totally, either way, this will go down as one of her most desperate attempts to matter in her career. Beyonce is all about money that’s it. After Lemonade she lost her voice. Go back and listen and you won’t hear that overly animated go hard vocals anymore. Jay Z gives her advice on the sound, she takes it and it sounds underwhelming. She’s lost in the Industry and she’s trying to find a balance.
