Janet Jackson is playing no games with her recent promotional onslaught to celebrate the extension of the ‘Together Again Tour.’

Just moments after sending her fans (affectionately called the #JanFam) into a frenzy on Monday (April 29) with news she’s taking the hotly selling trek to Europe, she was spotted joining our friends at ‘Complex’ for their popular ‘Sneaker Shopping‘ series.

While browsing the shelves of Stadium Goods in New York City, the Pop royal dished on everything from what her beloved supporters can expect from the forthcoming leg of the global jaunt to revisiting some of her most iconic sneaker moments in movies (‘Poetic Justice’), performances, and music videos like 1986’s ‘Pleasure Principle.’

Hop inside to see her stroll down memory lane while racking up a hefty shoe bill.

Jackson is no stranger to being praised for her groundbreaking music, music videos, and live performances, but true fans also know her as a fashion icon – a status she reveled in while chatting it up with Complex’s Joe La Puma.

When not remembering times she was dressed to the nines in high-end designer duds, the 57-year-old praised the comfort of her vast sneaker collection from over the years.

“I like dancing in sneakers,” she said while reflecting on the ‘Pleasure Principle.’ “The sneakers were for look but also for training and working out. So, it was really about something that I liked and I would wind up wearing it for rehearsal. It was important for it to have a strong toe and not the soft because when you dance a lot of times you have to roll up onto the tip of your toe and if not that can hurt your foot.”

Beyond showing off her surprisingly vast sneaker knowledge, Janet talked about her relationship with Michael Jordan and more before chatting about the newest iteration of her tour.

“It’s changed; it’s different. The setlist is different; there might be a couple of new songs that no one has ever heard before and songs that I’ve never performed before that have been on my album,” she shared. “There’s a little bit of the set that’s different, wardrobe is different, and [more iconic fits].”
