Early reports had the ‘Houdini’-led album on course to premiere with 55,000-65,000 units equivalent units.
With buzz around the LP on an incline, that number was revised upwards not once but twice.
Now, with the final tally in, it’s been confirmed that the album sold 83,000 copies in the US.
Pure sales made for lion’s share of the total (51,500).
The sum sees the songstress fly in at #2 on the Billboard 200 (behind the seemingly unstoppable Taylor Swift, whose ‘Tortured Poets Department’ extends its reign to three weeks).
In doing so, Lipa lands her largest start on the coveted count – besting the 66,000 debut of 2020’s ‘Future Nostalgia.’
The Stateside win comes on the heels of the star premiering at #1 on the Official UK Album Chart.

Deserved! She did better than expected and improved from her last debut. These numbers aren’t bad at all considering she didn’t have a top 10 hit from the album. Of course greedy Taylor still at number one. Dua should have released after Billie’s new album. Kudos to her though!
