Eminem‘s new single may be called ‘Houdini,’ but there’s no escaping the controversy that has encased the track out of the gate.
Because the veteran’s penchant for stirring up drama abounds once again.
And this time it’s centered, rather randomly, around Megan Thee Stallion.

On ‘Houdini,’ which sonically callbacks the sound that catapulted the MC to the highest heights, Slim Shady raps:
“If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me / Would I really have a shot at a feat?”
The lyric appears to serve as a wordplay of sorts on the very real (and harrowing) experience the femcee went through being shot in the foot by Tory Lanez – who is sitting behind bars for the crime after being found guilty.
As of writing, Eminem is trending with many blasting his remarks as insensitive and retraumatizing. Others assert it’s not shade and merely a lyrical bar.

The video was nostalgic and I like the song…I don’t think he meant it as shade just a typical Eminem lol he knows ppl how to get ppl going lol.

That was pretty good lol 😂 but yeah he’s giving old man trying to be hip vibes, his time has passed.
It’s a decent line but I’m not sure how it ties in with whatever message he’s trying to make in this song. It seems like he’s just throwing clever analogies together in one song that really don’t come together as part of a story or topic. Lamar raised the bar in my opinion and Eminem did not rise to that level, again, in my opinion. Also, he’s too old for a Slim Shady redo, once again, in my opinion. Unless I’m somehow missing the point, it seems like he resurrected Shady just to supposedly kill him off.
