Thanks to the globally warm response to Katy Perry‘s latest single, ‘Woman’s World,’ the Pop diva finds herself in a familiar spot: #1.
More inside.
After nearly a month of teasing, Katy unleashed her comeback single ‘World’ at midnight on Friday (July 11).
Less than 24 hours after its arrival to digital shelves, her beloved fans (affectionately called #KatyCats) pounced to purchase and stream the Dr.Luke-produced jam – pushing it to #1 on the real-time Worldwide iTunes sales chart.
Beyond topping the respective real-time sales tallies of 23 countries including Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Norway, and Peru (as of time reported), the tune stormed the top 10 of over 25 major international markets like the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Singapore, South Africa, Germany, United States, United Arab Emirates, and Australia.
Once coupled with radio airplay numbers, sales data, and streaming figures from all the major digital platforms, the iTunes stats above will undoubtedly help hoist the song to an impressive first-week commercial performance in Perry’s native country (USA) and abroad.
Keep it locked to That Grape Juice to find out the Pop diva’s predicted premiere placement for the American Hot 100.
Working with Dr. Luke is a smart choice. #JUSTICE FOR DR.LUKE.
I doubt it will debut higher than Lady Gaga’s stupid Love # 5.
Flop she’s a has been Taylor ended her
Being a Katy fan, I’m sorry to say but this single was weak and she needs rebranding. I feel that she needs to do more tv/movies like Gaga did and add in more Collabs and then maybe people will care again but as of right now, no one cares tbh. Kesha’s Joyride was 10xs better than this.
Kesha is so gross though.
