Lizzo is wasting no time lighting a match under her new single, ‘Don’t Make Me Love U.’
For, fresh from releasing the track, the performer took center stage on CBS Mornings to perform the song.
Before its arrival, the track was previewed by the Houston native at her Blue Note residencies in Los Angeles and New York.
Her debut televised showing took place live from the latter.
Sonically, the song skews more introspective and conflicted, and leans into that push-pull between love and resentment.
‘Don’t Make Me Love U’ arrives as the first taste of the star’s incoming album.

It’s no secret that I don’t like Lizzo, but if her music was good I would say it. However, Lizzo’s music isn’t good in my opinion. It used to be, but the further she strays from a blacker sound towards the blonde, crossover, top forties, sound like everything else music the more and more she continues to lose her sauce. 😴
Lizzo thinks she’s slick. This is a rock song. She’s simply trying to release something rock-inspired before Beyoncé gets to it. I’ve always thought Lizzo was a phony.
