The nearly six-year wait for a new album from R&B veteran Marsha Ambrosius came to a close on Friday (June 28) with the arrival of the anxiously awaited ‘Casablanco.’
Delivered courtesy of Aftermath/Interscope Records, the 11-track LP – preceded to Billboard 200 chart battle by singles ‘The Greatest,’ ‘One Night Stand,’ and ‘Greedy’ – serves as the 9x GRAMMY nominee’s fourth studio effort (the follow-up to 2018’s ‘NYLA).
Executive produced by the legendary Dr. Dre, the genre-blending project was reportedly three years in the making.
“Dr. Dre dared me to dream bigger and aim higher. CASABLANCO took on a life of its own once we grasped the concept. The ideas just kept coming, and everyone was on the same page at the same time,” she said.
