Repeating the feat it achieved on the UK chart, the track serves as the highest charting debut on the Hot 100.
‘Smile’ earned its spot thanks to the following first-week US stats:
- 27.4 million streams
- 13 million in radio reach
- 21,000 downloads
With this latest win (which comes as the song reigns at #1 on Spotify’s global tally), Mars lands his 19th Hot 100 top 10 and Gaga, her 18th.
