After watching the Eminem-led ‘Tobey‘ become his first Hot 100 top 40 hit in years, Big Sean is looking to replicate the feat by his lonesome with music set aboard his highly anticipated new album ‘Better Me Than You.’
Two weeks after unveiling the set’s lead single ‘Yes,’ Sean is saying “yes” to fans’ request for even more new music by officially lifting the lid on ‘On Up.’
The tune was first introduced via a live performance as part of the rapper’s critically acclaimed Tiny Desk Concert, but now music lovers can enjoy the recorded version.
“Don’t assume it’s number three of The Four Agreements / I got to start applying everything that I’ve been reading / It seemed like the tragedy of losing kids will never calm / I think about Trayvon, Breonna, my neighbor Deshaun / Damn praying for protection for my family / And that He keep His hands on me to fight through this insanity,” the 6x GRAMMY nominee raps over Amaire Johnson production.
Arriving just days after he made headlines for leaving Roc Nation, his longtime management home of 10 years, for a new deal at S10 Entertainment, hop inside to hear the latest Sean.
