In a fresh chapter to Diddy‘s mounting legal drama, Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard has filed a shock lawsuit against the mogul.
The New Orleans native rose to prominence after being discovered by the Bad Boy mogul on MTV’s Making The Band. She went on to form a separate group with him alongside Kaleena Harper named Diddy-Dirty Money after Danity Kane disbanded.
During those tenures and even after, it looked as if all was solid between Richard and Diddy (born Sean Combs).
However, her freshly filed suit suggests it was anything but that.

According to TMZ, Richard is accusing her former mentor of sexual abuse, brutality, and more.
The filing details allegations of ill-treatment from Diddy that dates back to ‘Making The Band’ in 2005.
Richard claims she and fellow contestants were called “fat,” “ugly,” “b*tches” and “hoes.” She asserts she was subject to the most intense verbal abuse because of how much the accused saw she wanted to succeed.
The suit goes on to unpack various instances in which Richard allegedly saw Diddy’s exes such as the late Kim Porter and Cassie battered and bruised at his bands. Sights she says woke her up to the brutality he was capable of.
Per the ‘Damaged’ singer, attacks on Cassie – whose bombshell lawsuit against Diddy was settled within days – were frequent. She details seeing Diddy – high on drugs – throw the ‘Me & You’ performer against a wall, choking her, and drag her up a flight of stairs in his Los Angeles home.
She also recalls allegedly seeing Diddy hurl a scalding pan of eggs at Cassie while screaming “I’ve been asking you for my s**t; I can’t stand you b*tch, you never do it right!”
Richard and bandmate Harper allegedly attempted to encourage Cassie to leave him, only to be verbally blasted by their boss. He allegedly yelled:
“Y’all b*tches don’t get in my relationship. Don’t tell my b*tch [Cassie] what she need to be doing … Just make money and shut the f**k up … I end artists … I shelve careers … You could be missing … You b*tches want to die today.”
It was just a matter of time before the Danity Kane girls spoke up. I bet Aubrey is prepping her own lawsuit as we speak
Dawn Richard & Cassie chose to stay for fame and Fortune. They have to take some blame within themselves. I’m not defending Diddy action, at all. I can see if they sued Diddy a month later but years later after a failed career makes it seem money-hungry. They are worse than the people who sit around and watch and as soon as the downfall they speak up for a few dollars. The years in these cases should be shortened to three months because this is just getting ridiculous. Wasn’t a problem when everything was getting paid for. You say you’re not, but it sounds to me like you are in fact doing a good job of defending Diddy. There’s only 2 relevant questions in my mind. (1) Are they legally allowed to still bring the lawsuit after all this time? (2) Is he guilty of what they accuse him of? If YES is the answer to both, then he needs to pay up, period. On top of that, he should be in jail, bottom line.
