It’s giving…new hit!
GloRilla may be enjoying a headline-grabbing run on the Billboard 200 thanks to the success of her debut album ‘Glorious,’ but – as evidenced by the LP’s latest single ‘Whatchu Kno About Me‘ – the wins aren’t limited to the album side of charts.
Boasting a feature from fellow female Rap titan Sexyy Red, ‘Whatchu’ debuted at #31 on the refreshed Hot 100. Here are the numbers that powered the placement.
- Streaming ≈ 12.2 million U.S.-based streams
- Sales ≈ 1,500 digital downloads
- Radio Airplay ≈ 1.8 million audience impressions
Coming as the fifth and third top 40 placements of Glo and Red’s respective careers, the Boosie Badazz-sampling cut famously gives a female empowerment twist to the party-starting classic.
As such, it comes as no surprise ‘Whatchu’ is not only the week’s top-selling new Hip-Hop song (pure sales) but also the week’s highest-charting new female-led song among all genres – giving proof that the world is ready for the two to roll out that teased joint album.
Among all previously uncharted hits, Rod Wave‘s ‘25‘ is the overall leader (#16 premiere).
