As if breaking into Billboard history books with her 12th studio album ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran‘ wasn’t enough to brag about, now the latest Shakira era can boast seeing its supportive tour shatter global ticket sales records.
Ahead of its North American kickoff in November, the ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour’ has already set an all-time attendance record as the global jaunt reportedly sold nearly 700,000 tickets in less two hours when seats for its international leg went on sale last week.
In Chile, this tour makes her the first female act to sell out stadium shows in less than one hour while in Peru, Argentina, and Mexico she’s the first woman to perform multiple solo shows at a stadium.
Having already sold out 13 stadium shows to date (and counting), it’s said that over two million fans signed up for ticket notifications – demand so overwhelming it prompted the diva to add three more dates in Mexico.
Rumor has it even more are coming soon.
As reported here, the trek’s first leg will launch in Palm Desert, California, on November 2nd before hoping to major international markets like Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Brooklyn, Chicago, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and more.
