Before Tuesday (December 17), only four female performers could boast owning multiple Diamond singles from one album: Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Cardi B.
Thanks to a set of jaw-dropping sales updates made to her catalog at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) this week, Beyonce joined the history-making crew.
As if becoming the first American singer to sell over 150 million singles wasn’t enough to boast, Bey’s latest round of updates made her the overall female act with the most Gold and Platinum hits as well as owner of the highest-certified non-holiday song of all time among Black female singers.
With the capture of her first two Diamond-certified songs, ‘Halo’ and ‘Single Ladies,’ Bey’s secured inclusion in another club of historic hitmakers who own at least a couple of tunes certified as high from one album.
For context, “Diamond” refers to singles that have sold at least 10 million copies in the United States.
Found aboard her 2008-released ‘I Am Sasha Fierce‘ LP, ‘Halo’ and ‘Single Ladies’ were both top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 at the height of their popularity – the latter even topped the chart for four weeks.
And while Cardi’s ‘Invasion of Privacy‘ (‘I Like It‘ and ‘Bodak Yellow‘), Gaga’s ‘The Fame,’ (‘Just Dance‘ and ‘Poker Face’), and Bey (‘Fierce’) have at least one album with multiple Diamond hits, Perry (‘Teenage Dream’ and ‘ET’ plus ‘Roar’ and ‘Dark Horse’) and Rih (‘Needed Me‘ and ‘Work’ plus ‘Stay’ and ‘Diamonds) are the only two female acts to boast MULTIPLE Diamond singles from MULTIPLE albums.
Katy, however, stands alone as the only female act to boast multiple Diamond singles from an album that was also certified Diamond.

Katy and Rih are one that stands out here. Their singles are iconic and heavily played in radio and tv. Bey would be third or fourth after Taylor and Gaga. She’s more of like album person than singles. I guess the streaming from tidal boosted her certifications. But beys Sasha fierce
Album is the greatest. The rest of her album are meh or trash.
Sasha Fierce is her worst album to date, whilst from 4 and onwards her music has become more nuanced and critically acclaimed.
I guess it all depends on what you listen to music for. If it’s a mindless release and excuse for shaking your ass then her earlier works up to I Am would be your thing.
But if you also want depth, emotional engagement and grown ass themes to reflect on then 4 and above is more your bag. Critically she did far better from 4.

Album 4 is trash although “Love on Top” is considerably safe and medium bop in comparison to Like this by Kelly Rowland but inferior to Milkshake by Kelis.

Milkshake by Kelis is a global hit single- a phenomenon. Not too many people worldwide knows love on top. It’s a mediocre charted song.
Love on top is 1 of the most CLASSIC songs to come out of the 2000s century and no it was NOT a big hit. Milkshake, albeit GREAT too, is not up to par at all.
