Christina Aguilera rocked the Joy Awards in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia tonight (January 18).
The 5x GRAMMY winner was honored at the ceremony and fittingly took to the stage to deliver a dynamite medley of some of her hits.
Backed by a troop of dancers, the diva dazzled with ‘The Voice Within,’ ‘Fighter,’ and ‘Genie In A Bottle.’

Vocals and stage presence were solid.
Solid vocals?
Mutant lungs, yes. Breath support, disastrous. She can’t sing one lyric line in one breath.
Nerves? Tight corset? Trying to create a big (Whitney/Patti) sound with a light instrument?
We know she’s got power and range. But damn she sounded horrible. Ask her to just sing a verse… she sounds so unmelodic, rough and out of breath.
We all know she can sing and preserved extremely well her vocal chords. But I don’t understand why she sings like this, what a mess.

She had been singing the same damm songs for almost 3 decades… Zzzzzz where is the new materials?
I think she wanted to pontificate as savior of oppressed Saudiyats on The Voice Within, wink at being in Aladdin’s desert on Genie, and either applaud Saudis for fighting for their new freedom on Fighter or declare US war on their kingdom lol. Just realized my gurl lacks a “Hero”, “Hello”, “My Heart Will Go On”, or “I Will Always Love You.”
I’d consider Beautiful to be her signature ballad.
