Beyonce may have extended her reign as the GRAMMYS’ most-decorated artist overall thanks to her first two wins on Sunday (February 2), but the ultimate victory came with her third triumph: the Album of the Year trophy.
Battling Andre 3000, Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Jacob Collier for the biggest honor of music’s biggest night, it was Bey who proved victorious.
The win comes after four career after losses in the category: 2010 (‘I Am…Sasha Fierce‘), 2015 (‘Beyonce‘), 2017 (Lemonade‘), and 2023 (‘Renaissance‘).
She is only the fourth Black woman in the award show’s history to capture the trophy following wins from superstar divas Lauryn Hill, Natalie Cole, and Whitney Houston.
Her total career GRAMMY wins now sits at 35 – the most of any artist ever.

I know right, Taylor’s face was priceless even when presenting Beyoncé her award for best country album. The AOTY should’ve been given unto Beyoncé several years ago, but making history again was awesome and well worth the wait. Congratulations Beyoncé

She would’ve won with Renaissance album too had she dropped those visuals. Luckily for this era she gave us something for Bodyguard. From this point onwards, please give us MVs even if it’s only for the singles and not the other tracks.

It’s about time! Congratulations to Beyonce. This is a recoup from her loss last year with Renaissance. I think Renaissance deserved better. Beyoncé looked great and beautiful as always. Her daughter is adorable. I don’t like Jay z but he looks genuinely happy for her. Kudos to Taylor for being sporty. She already won 4 times in Album of the Year. It’s time to give chance to others.

JayZ threatens industry last year about his wife… this year they give it to her… hmmm and to have Taylor give her that one award after the whole Kanye debacle and then her win album of year… just show the awards are bought and paid for by labels and PR… hmm. Her music doesn’t last in people’s consciousness. Thats why this is called show business it’s all a show everyone’s being manipulated to believe hype and talent that’s not there.
Considering Taylor Swift’s ‘Tortured Poets Department’ sold almost 10-20 times that of ‘Cowboy Carter,’ I’m sure she ain’t mad. She knows who really won. It’s kind of like when the big sister is always winning in everything she does and then one day her parents convince her to change the rules of Monopoly a bit so the little sister can win. 😂
It’s about time! And I’m so glad it’s for an album that I love. I couldn’t relate to Renaissance as much but CC is my favorite along with Lemonade. Either way, it’s been a long time coming and is sooo deserved!
