The Pop powerhouse was congratulated by Kimmel on her Oscar nomination for her role of ‘Glinda’ in the box office smash. She re-tells the moment she heard the news:
“It was so exciting and I was in London and I was watching…I was just sobbing because I love our ‘Wicked’ family so much, when they announced mine I was a mess, I almost collapsed.”
Grande also discussed the training involved to deliver her stellar performance in the musical, she said:
“It required a lot of re-training of my voice, Glinda’s vocal track is so different than what I usually sing.”
Giving fans a glimpse into the behind the scenes of what went into creating an Oscar nominated worthy performance.
But the real show-stopper was when the Grammy winner took to the mic and delivered an impressive performance of a song she had never seen or sang before during the ‘Wing It & Sing It’ segment.
