To say Philadelphia Eagles star C.J. Gardner-Johnson has bad blood with Taylor Swift fans (affectionately called #Swifties) is an understatement.
Despite emerging as the Super Bowl champion at this year’s big game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday (February 2), the Eagles and their fans continued trash talking on social media in the days that followed the victory.
Among the most headline-grabbing comments came from Gardner-Johnson who took to Instagram Stories on Monday (February 10) to say Chiefs star Travis Kelce should’ve stayed with his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole instead of relying on Swift’s celebrity status to “win the Super Bowl.”
The diss was of particular note as C.J. used to play alongside Kelce’s brother Jason.

Once word of Gardner-Johnson’s comment got to the desk of the Swifties, they swarmed his social media account with inflammatory remarks – a backlash that led him to subtly clap back during the team’s victory parade by donning a shirt that read “Swifties can LIX my balls” on Friday (February 14).
While the Super Bowl LIX champion’s response to the hoopla only further incited slams from the fan group, Swift herself has yet to weigh in on the noise.

That was so out of character for CJ Gardner-Johnson to say something like that to fans of Taylor Swift plus to display on t-shirt during Eagles parade. He should get fined.
