The Weeknd is leaving few stones unturned in promotion of his latest album, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow,’ including mending fences with the Recording Academy after years of beef with the institution.
A leading advocate against the GRAMMYs for their alleged lack of transparency in their voting process, the Canadian hitmaker (born Abel Tesfaye) previously took to press to announce a permanent boycott of music’s biggest night after being snubbed for his blockbuster album ‘After Hours.’
Thanks to a slew of DEI initiatives helmed by current Academy president Harvey Mason Jr., however, it appears Tesfaye finally had a change of heart.
Coming as the night’s surprise performer, the 4x GRAMMY winner took to the stage to unveil rocking live performances of hits ‘Cry for Me’ and ‘Timeless.’
See how he fared inside.

The performance undoubtedly comes as a taste of what he and ‘After Hours Til Dawn‘ tourmate Playboi Carti are coming to serve when the 2025 leg of the international jaunt launches later this year.

CRY FOR ME
Nobody missed him. He’s an artist of convenience who has no real social influence or impact. Just catchy pop songs.
I totally agree with you. He’s Irrelevant 🤨🤨🤨
