Jon Batiste joined an esteemed list of names to kick off the Super Bowl 2025 with the US National Anthem.
Taking center stage at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, the revered GRAMMY winner took vocal flight with a unique interpretation of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner.’
Batiste’s offering functions as a homecoming of sorts, given that he was born and raised in Louisiana.
The star’s showing precedes the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show, which is being headlined by Kendrick Lamar.

Hmmmm it’s not the worst. Certainly original. He sang in his style. Clearly he can’t belt out the usual approach. And at least he knows the lyrics. Can play the piano. It’s obvs not gonna be everyone’s taste.
