Angie Stone‘s family, friends, and fans gathered at Georgia’s Word of Faith Cathedral to say their final farewell to the neo-Soul songstress at her memorial service on Friday (March 14).
Beyond the touching eulogy delivered by movie industry mogul Tyler Perry, Stone’s life was celebrated in song by a number of music artists on hand to perform including Kirk Franklin, Anthony Hamilton, and KeKe Wyatt.
“She was so beautiful,” Wyatt – who co-starred with Angie on the hit reality series ‘R&B Divas Atlanta‘ – said. “Like seriously, I love her music and I love her voice and all that. But her as a person trumps all of that.”
After her speech, KeKe launched into a stirring, ten-minute rendition of ‘His Eye Is on the Sparrow’ – an emotional showing that even left her in tears by its conclusion.

The funeral comes just two weeks after Stone’s life was claimed in a fatal car accident outside of Montgomery, Alabama.

Can’t stand this woman’s singing
Her and her tribe can disappear
So pretentious. Wonder how much they paid her to put on a freak show like this 🤡💅🏽
She understood the assignment and sung her face off!!
She made the song unrecognizable with all her theatrics. A mess.
She didn’t come to play!! She gave them the real black COGIC gospel music experience. I know Angie would’ve loved and appreciated it.
Tremendously terrible. No wonder she hasn’t had a hit in over 20 years. She does too much.
Get it till it’s gotten, girl!
That was a hot mess. I can’t believe she thought she did something good. Did she think she was in a night club?
